ACTRESS DALLAS MALLOY TO LEAD SPOKEN WORD EVENT AT SILVERLAKE STUDIO
‘Jerry Maguire’ Actress to Join Notable Performers and Artists for Saturday Event

LOS ANGELES, Calif. (April 17, 2012) – Noted actress and bodybuilder Dallas Malloy, known for her work in films like “Jerry Maguire” and the upcoming “ABCs of Death,” will join several performers and artists to celebrate the spoken word at “Strong Words 4” on Saturday, April 21 at 7:30 p.m. at Spirit Studio Silverlake, 2609 Hyperion Ave. in Silverlake.
Admission is free.
“I’m excited about sharing my thoughts, experiences and challenges I’ve faced over the years at this amazing spoken word event,” said Malloy, who is known for her role in the blockbuster Tom Cruise film, “Jerry Maguire.”
Malloy will be joined by actor/playwright Larry Dean Harris, who is producing the event, artists Dominick Domingo and Marlene Nichols, all of whom will make spoken word presentations. Musician Amy Loftus will also perform along with the musical duo Register & Gans. Photographs by Michael Hirabayashi and Don Nocon also will be on display.
Having gained fame at 16 when she successfully sued to overturn the ban on women’s amateur boxing by its ruling body, U.S. Amateur Boxing Federation, Malloy has successfully crossed over into acting through “Jerry Maguire,” the TV series “Eli Stone,” “1,000 Ways to Die,” “True Blood,” "Conan," and many others.
A piano virtuoso since 6 years old, Malloy currently is the focus of the biographical documentary “I Am Dallas Malloy,” a film by noted French filmmaker Antoine Arditti, set for release in June. She will be featured in the June issue of Atlantic Monthly and is scheduled to participate in the California State Bodybuilding Championships on May 26 and the annual Venice Muscle Beach Memorial Day competition on May 28. Dallas Malloy, Known for her Appearance in ‘Jerry Maguire,’ Returns to Her Roots as a Classical Piano Virtuoso

LOS ANGELES, Calif. (Feb. 2, 2012) – Dallas Malloy, who is known for her role in “Jerry Maguire,” and other TV shows and films, is today returning to her roots as a classically-trained piano virtuoso with two performances at 6 p.m. on Feb. 10 and 11 at the First and Hope Supper Club, 710 W. 1st St. in downtown Los Angeles.
“I’m very excited about playing some of my favorite music in front of an audience that appreciates these classics,” Malloy said.
“I love acting and working in front of the camera, music has also been a passion of mine ever since I can remember.”
Her performance will include classical works, contemporary and jazz. Admission is free with the purchase of dinner or cocktails.
Having starred in a number of TV shows and films such as “Jerry Maguire,” and more recently, the upcoming feature “The ABCs of Death,” Malloy has been honing her skills at the piano in preparation for her piano performances.
As early as age 5, Malloy was considered a piano virtuoso, giving performances across Washington state and elsewhere before eventually turning her attention to amateur boxing, where at 16 she sued and overturned the ban on women’s amateur boxing. As an adult, she became a champion bodybuilder and fitness trainer prior to becoming an accomplished actress with many credits to her name.
Today, her television and film work includes “Rule of Law,” the TV series “Eli Stone,” “Last Comic Standing,” “Jimmy Kimmel Live,” “Funny or Die Presents,” and many others. She is currently the subject of documentary "I am Dallas Malloy", by French filmmaker Antoine Arditti, coming out in June.
